July 5, 2003 - Rodrigues Winery from Whitbourne, Newfoundland & Labrador, claimed 3 awards at the 2003 All Canadian Wine Championships.

Rodrigues Winery were awarded the Gold Medal for their 2002 Raspberry Wine, Silver Medal for their 2002 Black Currant Wine and a Bronze Medal for their 2002 Blueberry Wine.

In 2002 Rodrigues Winery was presented with the Interprovincial

Trade Award

With two thirds of wine production (25000 cases annually) currently being exported,(over 50% inCanada), Rodrigues Winery will continue to focus on developing new markets... with potential importers/distributors in the UK and Sweden.

At the second annual Fruit Wines of Canada Competition in 2001, our Exotique Cloudberry earned the Gold Medal.

At the first annual Fruit Wines of Canada Competition in 2000, our Exotique Wild Barren's Blend and Exotique Plum both captured Bronze Medals.

The Fruit Wines of Canada National Awards are the signature fruit wine competition in Canada in which wineries from across Canada are invited to enter wines made from 100% fruit other than grapes to be judged by a group of wine experts from Wine Writers Circle, Wine Judges Commission of Ontario and the LCBO.

At the October 2000, Ottawa Wine & Food Show, Exotique Strawberry was a Bronze Medal Award Winner. The 15th Annual Ottawa Wine & Food Show attracted about 25,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors with an international flair. A prerequisite is that award-winning wines must be available for the show visitors to taste.

At InterVin International in 1999 our Exotique Wild Cloudberry (Bakeapple) Wine, Exotique Strawberry Wine and Exotique Raspberry Wine each won Bronze Medals. InterVin International Wine Competition is the most demanding wine competition in the world as a result of its extremely high standards. In a double blind judging, Canada’s wines were evaluated alongside wines from 24 countries by an international panel of certified experts in New York State and Toronto.

At Kosherfest ‘98, our Exotique Wild Cloudberry (Bakeapple) Wine was a Silver Medal Award Winner. Kosherfest (The International Kosher Food & Foodservice Trade Show) held at the Meadowlands Exposition Centre, Secaucus,, New Jersey with over 800 exhibitors and approximately 10,000 registered buyers is an international show with exhibitors representing nearly a dozen nations.
